why do I workout?
I have been keeping workout as my habit. I work out at least 3 times in a week. A lot of people ask me why I am doing this because I am already very slim. However, for me, the purpose of working out is not weight management, it is the three reasons below.
- Working out is one of the top 3 efficient ways to have a good skin. I will talk about how to achieve a good skin in another article. When I was living in Germany, I didn’t work out for 3 months. One day I decided to work out to get myself warmer because the weather is too cold. I did 4 intense workout, 1.5 hours per session in one week. After the week, my Canadian friend Ariana saw me and she was so amazed and she said, ‘oh, Annie? What did you do? Your skin is so good now?’I was shocked. Really? Then I did some research about co-relation of skin and workout. There are a lot of evidences in the Internet saying working out improves skins. Therefore, if you have any skin problem, try workout for one week, 4 sessions and 1.5 hours/session, you may see dramatically changes.
- My appetite become healthier and less. Unconsciously, I eat less and opt for healthier food after I developed the habit of working out. Initially, I imagine that it is because my fat get burnt and more energy is released into my body so that my brain doesn’t receive hungry signal as often as before. I didn’t find any scientific support. Maybe it is just phycology. Imagine you put in so much effort burn your calories, you don’t want to gain everything back by one roasted chicken leg.
- I become more energetic and optimistic. It has been proved that workout can make people happier. And it is so true. I have been benefited so much from this. Having high energy level and being optimistic give me lots of courage in my study and work. Whenever I face any problems and challenges in my study and workplace, I think of the exhausting long distance running, 3 minutes plank, etc, then the challenges I am facing immediately become smaller. I would feel that I m so luck to sit here to solve the problems without pushing myself to my physical limitation.
