“No Time to Workout” — It is just an excuse!
Workout, sleep, and learn something outside office hour, are the 3 things I have been trying to achieve every day ever since I start working. I believe most people want these, too. I am an extremely ordinary person. Therefore, if I can get these 3 things done for most of the days in a week. I believe you also can make it.
Tip 1: seize every non-OT day and put workout as the FIRST thing after you leave office.
There must at least be one day you don’t have to OT. If there isn’t even one day, please make one non-OT day out of five weekdays. This one day, plus 2 days over weekend, you can make 3 workout sessions per week. It is really good if you can maintain it.
Tip 2: find the most convenient way for you.
You don’t have to go to gym if it is far. I do 90% of my workout at home. Occasionally, if my work location is next to a gym, then I visit the gym. I follow Youtube videos (you can visit another blog of mine regarding Youtube videos), with a towel, gym clothes and a yoga mat. The result is as good as doing it at gym.
Tip 3: treat workout as part of your daily relaxing activity like browsing Facebook, having dinner.
It is truly a relaxing activity and in fact it is a better activity for you to relax yourself than browsing Facebook. If I leave office and 7:15 pm, reach home at 8:00 pm, I can then workout till 8:45 pm, shower till 9:00 pm. From 9:30 pm to 11:30 pm, I will feel extremely fresh and do a lot learning and other work. Working out only takes me max 45 minutes, and it is not a just-so-so workout. It is GOOD workout.
