I love Calligraphy

Perhaps I should slowly dig out all my calligraphy works to make an album of it.

I enjoy reading and writing it.

A big table with a few things, quiet, and study how to make an art piece.

It is not about how good one character is. It is about how beautiful the flow is, how calm and peace the calligrapher is.

Lots of people can write calligraphy. Especially at the ancient China, almost everyone use brushes to write. Some of them become well known. Some of them remain unknown.

It is not about how good the writing is. There are not much differences at that time. It is about how moral and righteous the person is. People remember another person by his righteousness, not by his handwriting.

It is quite interesting that learning calligraphy is like learning history and having inner education.

Lots of the sentences or poems we practice are the wisdom of few thousand years. When you are slowly writing it for 100 times, you wouldn’t stop thinking the meaning and story behind the sentences.

It has been over 10 years since I first wrote calligraphy. What my calligraphy teacher taught me is still with me. He was grandpa already when I was in primary school.

People say I am talented in it. I am not sure. I just enjoy the moment I write.

Maybe it is because of family. We all love calligraphy. It is not so common in Singapore. In China, almost every family hangs something related to Calligraphy, Chinese Painting, etc.
