~Go Kart~ ~Fun Kart~
Car racing was a great exercise after a long day of work.
This time I was almost 30 seconds faster than my last time. However, the kart itself had a limit. I had been pushing the accelerator to its limit all the time, even at the 360 degree turning point. To make it faster next time, I need to use lots of techniques.
My friend drove an advanced kart, which was faster. However, without driving license I was not allowed to try. Maybe I should start my driving lessons, just for the advanced kart!
There were a lot of kids every time I went there. Some of them were like 7 or 8 years old. But they looked so professional with the racing uniforms, full-set of equipments, and great karts. In my last session, a kid even overtook me. I spotted some future stars among them!
I believe that practice makes perfect. It is like anything. Like body building, over the time, you can take more weights and run faster. Like learning new languages, you speak more fluently and naturally if you use it more. I am making progress in car racing, too. Hope my next race is faster. It will certainly be faster. Let’s go!
To make a good race, there are few tips, like go straight all the time, explore the kart limit, etc. There are something I personally feel quite useful. First, build strong arms. The steering wheel is hard to control when the kart experiences quick turning. Thus, do more push-ups and go gym more often. Second, maintain light body weight. I think everyone understand why. Third, no brake. When the kart turns at the fastest speed, the kart might slide but it won’t flip. Just enjoy the rush!
See you at KF1 Kranji next time. More people, more fun!
